Behind the Scenes, Gratitude and a Few Favourite Moments.
If you read our reflections on our Mallorca retreat in our previous article, you’ll know we’re still easing back into normal life after our time in beautiful Sóller. That post was all about the deeper shifts that happen on retreat. This one is more about what the week actually felt like. The atmosphere. The wee moments that made us laugh. The small details that pop into your mind again when we’re looking back on our time there.
The rhythm of the week
Each morning started slowly. People appeared one by one in the kitchen sleepy smiles and cups of tea and coffee. Some of us met for morning breathwork and meditation to start the day. Some followed it with a refreshing dip in the pool. Always slow, easing into the day, before our morning movement.
And the walk to the yoga shala, through the ancient olive groves, greeting the sheep as we went. What a start to the day! And then of course, the shala itself. Surrounded by nothing but nature. Movement felt different in that space. Softer. More grounded. More spacious.
Brunch was another highlight. A long table, lovely food (it’s always so much better when someone else makes it - isn’t it!), and conversations that stretched across everything from the serious and life-affirming, to the ridiculous ☺️.
Afternoons were magical in their own way. Some days it was a wander to Sóller and onto the beach for a sea dip and a cheeky sangria. Some days it was full-on chilling by the pool. Some days it was an afternoon movement workshop. Some of us had a nap. Or read a book with a glass of wine. Or had a 1:1 session with Nikita or Laura.
Evenings brought us together again for restorative or yin. Slow, steady, quieting. Then dinner by candlelight in our stunning olive press dining room.
A thank you to our goody bag partners
We also wanted to share a little light on our welcome bags.
We put a lot of thought into them because it’s often the small touches that make a retreat.
This year we were lucky to collaborate with such thoughtful - and many women-led - brands. They helped us create those little moments of care that guests feel straight away.

Your cork massage balls found knots people didn’t even know they had. A huge hit.
Thank you for helping create such a supportive and nourishing start to the retreat.
What stays with us
Retreats are made up of so many small pieces. The conversations. The meals. The quiet moments by the pool. The magic of a group of women coming together from different places, different ways of life, but all with something in common that brought them together for this week.
We already cannot wait for the next one.
With love,
Laura & Nikita x
