SLOWING DOWN
4 weeks of Breathwork, Yin + Restorative Yoga
A four-week online series for slowing down as we move towards winter.
As the days get shorter and we move towards winter, this is an invitation to create a little more space.
Not another thing to achieve, improve at or squeeze into an already full week. Just 90 minutes on a Thursday evening to step away from the constant doing, breathe, move slowly and rest.
Over four weeks, we’ll combine breathwork, Yin yoga and restorative yoga, exploring practices that encourage us to slow down, turn our attention inward and notice what happens when we give ourselves permission to do a little less.
There’ll be movement, stillness, breathing and plenty of time on the floor.
You don’t need to be flexible, experienced at yoga or have done any breathwork before. Everything will be gentle and accessible, with options throughout so that you can adapt the practices to suit you.
The details
Dates: Thursday 12, 19 & 26 November + 3 December 2026
Time: 7pm–8.30pm
Location: Online via Zoom
Duration: 4 weeks, 90 minutes each week
Full series: £45
Can’t make every week?
All four sessions will be recorded.
If you can’t join us live one week, a link to the recording will be sent out after the session so you can practise in your own time. You can also return to the recording if you’d simply like to revisit a particular practice.
What we’ll explore
Across the four weeks we’ll work with different combinations of breathwork, Yin and restorative practices.
The emphasis isn’t on getting better at any of them. Instead, we’ll use them as ways of exploring slowing down, rest, stillness, nervous system regulation, turning inward and creating a little more space as we move towards winter.
Some weeks might involve more movement, others more stillness. Sometimes we’ll work with the breath, sometimes the most useful thing might simply be lying on the floor under a blanket for a while.
What you’ll need
A yoga mat and a few things to help you get comfortable. Blankets, cushions and pillows are perfect. If you already have yoga blocks or a bolster, you can use those too, but there’s no need to buy special equipment.
Wear something comfortable, find yourself a warm space and bring whatever you need to make the evening feel restful.
Come tired. Come distracted. Come feeling like you’ve spent the whole day rushing around.
You don’t need to arrive calm.
That’s rather the point.
Join us for four Thursday evenings of breath, slow movement, rest and a little less doing.
